Last two weeks, I've learned about things around us likes metaphor, simile, satire/parody, irony, paradox and parable/allegory.
metaphor:
- is used to describe a subject as/like exactly the same to the object by drawing the parallel in properties between the object and object
simil
- figure of speech that draws similarity between two different things but otherwise not the same between the another.
satire/parody:
- the use of with especially irony, sarcasm, and ridicule, to criticize a particular subject as depicted in literate works, plays or films.
irony:
- inconsistency between what might be expected to happen and what actually happens especially when this differences seems absurd/ laughable.
paradox:
- a statement. a situation that is true but seems to defy logic/ intuition.
parable/ allegory
- the symbolic expressions of a deeper meaning through a story or scene acted out by humans, animal or mythical characters.
